Features:

• The 3M 2178 splice closures are airtight and offer great capacity for managing loose tubes and fiber optic splices. Ideal for outside plant (underground or aerial).
• The 2178 is designed with interchangeable halves of different capacities with the flexibility to expand in the future.
• It is very easy to install, requiring no special tools or complicated procedures.
• The 2178 series is robust and rigid, tested under real-world conditions, and more severe conditions of humidity, vibration, and extreme temperatures. This splice closure withstands up to 200 pounds (90.7 kg) of compression.
• Splice box for buried or aerial application, easy to access, resistant to weathering and chemical agents. Available in different presentations. It has ground terminals and a test valve, and contains all the necessary accessories to install 3 cables (mounting accessories or trays not included). Grommets for FTTx cables available.
